2018/2019 Sunday Night Big Bands with Stuart MacDonald
Jazz Night School is happy to announce Stuart MacDonald's return as director of ourSundayNight Big Bands. After a two-year sabbatical to earn his Masters Degree from University of Washington, Stuart is excited to lead our big bands again as they move into their next stage of learning experiences. Under the tutelage of a top-notch jazz director, ourSundayNight Big Bands will continue to provide advanced-beginner through intermediate skill level musicians opportunity to learn level-appropriate big band repertoire (usually five to seven pieces per 10-week session) and work on idiomatic ensemble skills and improvisation for those ready and interested.
CHANGES TOSUNDAYNIGHT BIG BANDS
Jazz Night School is revamping theSundayNight Big Bands' placement process to provide more opportunity for entry and better grouping of similar skill levels. New bands will be formed and each will have two seats open for vocalists.

Bands are formed to stay/play together Fall, Winter, and Spring Sessions but student movement between bands may occur throughout the year.
