This group meets five times over the course of the fall quarter and is not slated to perform, although, you never know! The group is open to all clarinetists upon audition and covers reading, improvising, and group interaction. The repertoire covers both jazz and classical music and is focused on having fun, getting a good group sound, and learning as much as possible about the clarinet in the time allotted. Some of the criteria we consider in determining combo placements include: matching ability levels within groups, compatibility of individuals in the groups (students and instructors), allowing the highest number of students to participate, student availability, and date of registration.
