Since 2012 Esteban Roybal has performed professionally with a variety of groups throughout the Northwest in all styles of music ranging from Jazz to rock, pop, and country. Esteban currently performs with the Northwest Seattle Jazz Orchestra, the Mix Party Band, and the up and coming Country artist Miller Campbell.
Esteban’s musical roots go back to the Lionel Hampton School of music where he studied under percussion directors Daniel Bukvich and Spencer Martin. His love for music led him to Seattle where he also studied under Percussion Clinician Garey Williams and Steve Smith from Seattle Drum School. During his time in Idaho, Esteban worked as a therapist for individuals with disabilities. This experience gave him a unique perspective and skill set allowing him to teach and work with all ages and abilities. Esteban loves working with children and seniors alike and believes everyone can learn regardless of age, talent, or ability.
Some of Esteban’s favorite Jazz artists include, Count Basie, Art Blakey, Tony Williams, John Coltrane, and Dennis Chambers.
