Matthew Dunn is a multi-instrumentalist who is a born-and-raised Seattle native. He is primarily a bass player, having studied electric bass with the late Chuck Deardorf at Cornish College of the Arts, where he also received his BA in Music, with a focus in jazz, in 2022.

Since then, Matthew has been busy playing any and every style and genre he can get his hands on. He regularly plays bass for musical productions at Broadway Bound Children's Theatre, and also composes and plays for his modern jazz group Type 85, his neo-soul inspired band Nodaphone, as well as a plethora of local Seattle-based singer-songwriters whose music spans countless other genres.

Matthew also has been teaching private music lessons full time for the past 3 years, where he prides himself on meeting each student exactly where they are, no matter their skill level, and empowering them with new, concrete knowledge that they can directly apply to their own musical goals every lesson.
