Jazz Night School offers long-term* performance-driven big band experiences for all ages and levels.
Placement auditions are required for new students. You can learn more about skill levels required for each big band offering by reading each band's description and reviewing Jazz Night School's Small Jazz Ensemble Levels Matrix.
*Long-Term: Big Band rosters are set each Fall Session and once placed, students have the option of re-enrolling/maintaining their spot in an ensemble each following session of that year. Jazz Night School requests big band students commit to enrollment for the whole year (September through August). If a students skips a session, their seat may be forfeited. Students wishing to enter in big bands at Winter, Spring and/or Summer Sessions will be placed when seats are available.
