Jazz Night School Winter Session: January 6th - March 16th


Jazz Night School offers long-term* classes for all ages and levels that help students develop skills and knowledge essential to improvisational music performance. 

Jazz Night School instructors are distinguished professional musicians who are outstanding educators and enthusiastic about helping people learn and perform music. 

*Long-Term: Most classes are designed for a year-long program with class rosters set at Fall Session. If a students skips a session, they might not be able to re-enter the class later in that year. Students wishing to enter into classes at Winter, Spring and/or Summer Sessions will be placed where seats are available and student readiness is appropriate, a placement audition may be necessary.


Class Registration Instructions

  • CURRENT STUDENTS: Check levels and prerequisites of classes to sign up for an appropriate offering. Contact us if you don't know your level. 
  • NEW STUDENTS: Before class enrollment, new Jazz Night School students should schedule a placement audition to assess current skill level and discuss your goals.
  • TUITION WAIVERS: If you need a tuition waiver, contact us to get registered for classes or ensembles.
  • REGISTRATION FEES: An annual registration fee is due each Fall or upon entry during the school year (unless entering in Summer quarter).
  • ENROLLMENT: Enrollment for classes is on a first-come, first-serve basis and cannot be guaranteed without full payment. Also note if a class is full, you can get on its waitlist.
